Pre-season football and camogie training begins in late January / early February each year. Therefore this is an excellent time to join the Club. However we realise not everyone arrives in Sydney at the same time, so you are welcome to join at any stage throughout the season. Click here on the following link for more details on the NSW GAA season .

The team is based in Sydney’s Eastern beach suburbs, more specifically Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach. Bondi Beach is a Suburb in the Municipality of Waverley (Bondi History). The football and camogie team train at Queen’s Park on the corner of Carrington and Darley Road, Waverley from January until late March. We also have a few fun sessions on Bondi and Coogee Beach during pre-season.  The football team then switch venue to avail of floodlights from March until September - This park is called Waverley Oval on Bondi Road, Bondi.  The camogie team move to Coogee Oval on Coogee Beach.

Public transport is reliable and frequent in Sydney (public transport information). You can get a bus or a train from the western suburbs or city centre to Bondi Junction and walk 10minutes south to the training field. The maps below should also help you find the training field.

The football team currently train Tuesday and Thursdays at 6.45pm. The camogie team train Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm.  These times and dates may be subject to change due to pitch availability, lighting and preparations before a Sunday game.

We liaise very closely with our GAA contacts in Ireland to ensure our training drills, techniques and methods are up to date and moving with developments at home. On an advisory level we also use the expertise of AFL (Australian Rules Football) coaches - for modern techniques on stretching, nutrition, hydration and overall fitness.
