The Tyrone Association of Sydney has been the Clubs major supporter since its birth in January 2005. The Cormac McAnallen’s GAC committee is dedicated on promoting the Club by attracting and welcoming players and members from all 32 counties, and indeed throughout Australia. However the link between Co. Tyrone and Cormac is intrinsic and so strong we cannot ignore this fact. We pride ourselves in already attracting members from all four provinces and will work hard to maintain this mix each year. Therefore we thank the Tyrone Association for their kind financial backing and support network.
President’s Forward"As a relatively new Association founded in June 2004, we view the formation of the Tyrone Association as both cultural, social and community focused. We organize a yearly dinner dance for Tyrone ex-pats, backpackers and friends. We nominate a worthwhile charity (Irish-Australian welfare Bureau) and donate funds towards that. Secondly we act as a support network for Tyrone ex-pats and friends should they need assistance."

"It gives me great pleasure as Tyrone Association President to assist in honoring one of our Counties greatest sportsmen, role models and scholars. Such was the media attention around Cormac’s sudden death; we ironically got to know him a little more intimately in such tragic circumstances. We are confident that the new GAA club will do Cormac’s name justice through promoting Gaelic Games overseas. They are actually fortunate to have such a name associated with the Club." "We wish the Club every success on and off the field, and look forward to working with them and endeavor to assist were possible." Yours in Sport Andrew McCabe President – Tyrone Association of Sydney
