Let the celebrations begin
Let the celebrations begin

Congratulations to Derrytresk GFC, Fir An Chnoic, who were crowned Tyrone Junior Club Champions on Sun 16th Oct for only the second time in their 108 year history.  They put on a display of hard work, belief and intensity to defeat Killeeshil 0-15 to 0-9 at Healy Park, Omagh.  It was a fantastic performance led by Cathal O’Neill that will live long in the memory of the avid fans and supporters.

Special mentions to prolific sharpshooter Niall Gavin on a fantastic year in the forwards, and goalkeeper Aidan Quinn for what I’m told was a magnificent penalty save.  With an extremely young playing group the future of GAA is bright for the men from the hill, and at least one prodigal son will be cheering you on from County Bondi when you face off against Doire Trasna next in the Ulster Championships.  Best of luck!
