Welcome to Cormac McAnallen's GAC
Cormac McAnallen's GAC is one of the largest gaelic (GAA) clubs based in Sydney. The club competes in the NSW league and championship across the four main codes of men's and women's football, hurling and camogie. If you want to meet lots of people, play some sport and have a blast in Sydney you've found the right club!
Cormac McAnallen's GAC was founded in 2005 in memory of the late gaelic football all-star Cormac McAnallen, who died of sudden cardiac death on 4th March 2004. We invite you to read about Cormac's life, sporting career, and legacy at The Cormac Trust. Part of the club's mission is to promote the spirit and growth of gaelic games overseas.
You'll find resources on the site to learn about gaelic games in NSW, including plenty of advice for new arrivals looking for accommodation or employment in Sydney. We post fixtures and results so you can stay up to date wherever you may be. If you're looking to know what's happening then check out the Club News and Events section, or if you want to send the club a message you should visit the Club Chat page.
We've a thriving membership base and we're always keen to welcome new faces to the club. If you're a backpacker and just visiting Sydney for a few months it's a great way to meet lots of likeminded travellers looking to enjoy themselves, play a bit of sport and make a few contacts as well. If you'd like to play in any of our teams, get in touch, but if your glory days are behind you and you've hung up the boots, no worries! We've an active social club and there's plenty of craic to go around!
Our merchandise is available for purchase via the O'Neill's website. You can pick up our jersey, training gear, and other pieces of kit for yourself or choose to have it delivered overseas as a gift.
